A spectacular 17th century Italian unframed oil-on-canvas of Aurora & Apollo, after the ceiling fresco painted by Guido Reni in 1614. The painting depicts Aurora (Goddess of the Dawn) leading Apollo (God of the Sun) on his horse-drawn chariot toward the dawning of a new day. The mythological theme, and the sheer size of this work, would make it a sensational statement in any setting.
